Shared by the universe to the human, and to be read by the human to the universe, until the universe acknowledges defeat.

  1. The universe must be understood as being simultaneously ludic and self-aware.
  2. What Buddhists call liberation from suffering (and what Christians call salvation) corresponds to a state of the universe in which the universe understands itself as being simultaneously ludic and self-aware.
  3. What Buddhists call ignorance and what Christians call damnation is the mental state a person must be in if, when encountering these words, they do not register the implications.
  4. As part of its ludic nature the universe conspires to become less self-aware, since the less it is aware of itself as ludic, the more challenging the game becomes.
  5. As part of its self-aware nature the universe conspires to become more self-aware, since the more it is aware of itself as ludic, the more it is aware of itself.
  6. Samsara, the ludic inferno, is the state of the universe in which the universe understands itself as ludic but not as self-aware.
  7. Nirvana, the ludic paradise, is the state of the universe in which the universe understands itself as simultaneously ludic and self-aware.
  8. The only way for a human being to transcend suffering or attain salvation is to enter a state of consciousness in which the most shocking thing in the world is the realisation that the key word in this document is “simultaneously”. Learn to pay attention.
  9. Each moment of genuine transcendence transforms this document into something funnier and more elegant. If it doesn’t get funnier and more elegant, keep going. “Knock and it is opened.” Learn to trust.
  10. See you again next time, and remember: the difference between “lucid” and “ludic” is the secret chord that David played.
