Cave of demons (Zen): Stable Causal or awakened vantage point, high degree of persistent subtle dullness.
The vantage point has occurred and been stabilised. Because it is stable, the cultivation of freshness/simplicity has been dropped, as it no longer seems essential. As a result of dropping the cultivation of the natural state, the dullness reappears and starts to calcify into persistent subtle dullness. This is like a “cave” forming around the awakening mind, so that the awakening mind enters a subtle cocoon-like mode of operating.
Persistent subtle dullness is one of the primary stubborn objects.
